  1. First of all another great show guys!!

Okay I will try to explain this trade. It`s all about predicting injuries. In case anyone hasn`t noticed the majority of players I have traded away in this league end up enduring some form of injury after they leave my team. It has happened to Malkin, Letang, Campbell (when i first moved him), I believe Gaborik also suffered an injury of some sort after I delt him (not a shocker) and a few other players.

So seeing Marleau is now 32 playing in his 14th nhl season I feel a broken ankle is probably due by mid Jan. Heatley will also sustain a torn MCL very soon.

    YOU WAIT AND SEE!!!

I was also bored of watching San Jose games. Marleau is indeed a top level keeper in the league. He`s starting his down slope though. I think you guys over rate him too much right now at this point in his career. This really was a deal for the future still being able to stay somewhat competitive this year. I need the PP production from Kessel..something Marleau has slipped on since Heatley left the pp unit. I have watched so many San Jose games over the year and Marleau is starting to show the signs of a player slowing just a tad bit (and he will get injured). I am willing to bet that next season he flat out sucks. So it was a Marleau for Kessel deal straight across there. In my opinion I think I won. Cause breaking an ankle is a tough injury to come back from.

As for Heatley and the higher pick. You guys were bang on. He actually started showing his downward spiral last season. I probably could have got more than Pascal and the lower pick but I just wanted him off my team as I have grown tired of the guy. I also pretty much threw these parts of the trade together to help Shawn. See when you deal with me I keep good managers relations going. I am much like Dale Tallon in that aspect. Dale is my idol for spotting talent and for just being an overall good man in a suit. I also wanted a little Pens exposure for the rest of the season.

i overpaid a bit. But it`s really all about the injuries coming now.
