What happens when you unleash a large, angry bear into a windowless room filled with unsuspecting hockey nerds? Pure carnage. Well, maybe we had our suspicions. And maybe we shouldn't have left that pot of hunny out in the open, it was only ever going to provoke him. Ladies and gentlemen, may we present Jason Sullivan. Hear him fight off the flu to wax poetic and nonsensical on Georges Laraque, fantasy hockey domination, players he's never heard of, contract negotiations and the intake of alcohol through unlikely orifices. Ross, Mike and Kommissioner Kev fight to keep our own little Pooh Corner from becoming Jason's piss corner. Bonus: Mike outs all NHL steroid-users by deciphering the Laraque Code! Ooh, controversy! It's the stuff of juicy Hollywood thrillers. And by juicy, I mean injected with Human Growth Hormone.
Seemless edits, Ross. Nice work. You got Jason's piss corner references down to 5 or 6. That feels like a minor miracle.
ReplyDeleteA few of our ill-timed interjections show up via mic bleed but it's no big deal. Sadly though, in cutting, I did sacrifice our Joshua Jackson update. Pacey, if you're listening out there, it's nothing personal. We'll get you next week. In the meantime:

You tell all these bitter little men where to go Sullivan! Easily the most entertaining and informative episode as we finally got prospective of someone who has actually MADE the playoffs both years. Well done. Hopefully it will soon become the Jason Sullivan show!
ReplyDelete^ or 'Seamless' if it's not 3am.
ReplyDelete@ Andrew - I agree that it was one of our best episodes. Jason had/has great things to say. Can't edit that in. It was great to have him on. I'll be honest in saying that Ross' editing made it a Lot more coherent. Plus, he took out the 30 odd references to Hell's Kitchen that Jay tried to slip in (only to reveal at the end that you'd asked him specifically not to!).
I should make clear that it's not Jason's fault it started as less coherent - sorry if I made you feel badly about your time with us, Jay. Everyone can clearly hear me talk over people all episode. And Mike was less loquacious than we're used to as well. Just having four people is more challenging in general. Ross was still a wizard.
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely come back, Jason!
I haven't been listening as I haven't had time. But I cracked the pod casts open today. These are awsome!!!
ReplyDeleteP.S. You are all wrong.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you, J-Bay! Come out and do one some time!
