Definitely Offside: The Podcast!

Because absolutely no one demanded it! Here's our first stab at podcasting featuring Ross and Mike. Constructive feedback is more than welcome but go easy on us, we're new to this! Apologies to Mr. Sullivan - we know you're not a racist. Or do we...?

  1. That was great, guys! Thanks for doing that and for sharing.

    My homework:

Ross - check out Youngblood starring a very, very young Rob Lowe. I've put it in the DO dropbox already. You can seem him return to the on-screen rink as the coach in Breakaway (which I can only describe as the Punjabi Mighty Ducks). I suspect your retrospective is because of the three movies coming out in short order about hockey (including Breakway), so it is a perfect time to reflect back on the only actor who could skate in 1986. Anyway, Youngblood might be the best hockey movie ever. Just pure greatness.

Mike - I truly have no idea, sorry. But I bet you could watch some old Rock 'Em Sock 'Em movies for ideas and clues. Actually, I'd be surprised if you can't just google 'best hockey hits' and get a million suspendable offences.

Keep it up, boys. I hope to join you soon.

  4. I finally listened (god it has been a long week...)

And I want more!! Holy shit was that fun.

Can we make this a twice weekly event? It is just like hanging out with you guys, which I never do anymore.

    Well done,

    Dale

PS: If you want a long and boring historical discussion about how hockey (and all organized professional team sport in North America except baseball) has always been about supporting war, I am your man.
